ABOUT

what we do

Based in London, Ruth is a musician who thrives on the musical hubbub the city has to offer.

Whether she's on stage at the 02 Arena, Royal Albert Hall, working in productions at the National Theatre, writing, arranging and recording in London's top studios, producing remote recording sessions from home, and teachingRuth's musical experience covers an eclectic range of styles and situations.

Ruth also performs internationally touring with orchestras, ensembles & artists and as a soloist. Her main instruments are Violin and Viola; With a flair for improvisation, a gift at string arranging nourished by her love of music from so many eras, genres and countries; Ruth's combined talents have supported a diverse fulfilling career in music.

Growing up on a farm in Wales is not only where Ruth's musical roots lie, but also her strong connection to nature and love for animals.  Quite a contrast from city life in London, music was still at the centre of Ruth's up-bringing keeping her busy with endless performances with international award-winning choir Ysgol Gerdd Ceredigion, The National Youth Orchestra of Wales, alongside frequent chamber and solo performances and competitions.

Ruth attributes her love for music to the vibrant musical culture Wales had to offer her as a child and feels a huge amount of gratitude towards two particularly inspirational teachers she had during this time: Islwyn Evans and Stephen Pilkington.
